
Mahalasa College of Visual Art offers Bachelor of Visual Art (B.V.A) in Applied arts degree program as an undergraduate visual arts course. This four years program of study in a specialization of visual arts which deals with the application of design and aesthetics to objects of function in everyday use. An integrated foundation course is offered in the first year, and the remaining three years are allocated for specialization in Applied Arts.
Applied arts is a degree that trains a student in the field of industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, Interior design, advertising, decorative art, functional art, architecture and photography. Applied Art degree course gives full exposure to print media and electronic media. Degree holder can work for advertising companies, animation studios, film field as well as can work as freelancer or establish his own design studio which deals with Graphic design, Advertisement film making, Photography, print and electronic media.
