The earth is a wondrous creation. From barren deserts to lush rain forests, from swelling oceans to cloudy skies… the earth provides endless inspirations for visual artists. Nature’s palette is everywhere we look. Throughout history, artists have found endless inspiration in the mysterious beauty of nature and the grandeur of the earth’s varied landscapes.
Mahalasa college of Visual Art in association with Kanaka Majalu Yuvaka Mandala, Sullia, D.K. organized landscape workshop at sullia for Ten days in the month of November 2018. More than Four hundred paintings were done by the students under the guidance of Syed Asif Ali (Lecturer MCVA). Thirty Five paintings done in the workshop were exhibited in art exhibition titled “LUSH“-an exhibition of plein air art. The Exhibition was inaugurated on 12th of january and was open for art lovers from 12th january to 15th january in college art gallery. Guests and visitors also enjoyed the ongoing workshop of Ganjifa art.
Painting competition was organized by the college for PUC and DEGREE students in college campus on 12th january. More than Forty students from various colleges participated in the competition. Prize distribution of the painting competition was held after the inauguration of the exhibition.
